Kyrgyz President heard request of deported from Kyrgyzstan journalist
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov instructed to deal with the case on the deportation of Agence France-Presse journalist Chris Rickleton. He stated this today at a press conference.
According to the head of state, he is aware of the situation around the journalist who was deported in 2017 from the country.
«I gave instructions. When I am reported, I will inform you,» promised Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
Recall, a UK citizen Chris Rickleton appealed to the president to allow him to enter Kyrgyzstan.
Agence France-Presse journalist Chris Rickleton was banned from entering the republic for violating the visa regime in December last year by a decision of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. His wife is a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. Chris Rickleton had lived and worked in Kyrgyzstan for the last seven years.
