Commercial banks await National Bank’s reaction to Financial Intelligence letter
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan receives requests from commercial banks regarding the legitimacy of the letter by the State Financial Intelligence Service on the provision of data on their clients. Press service of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic told 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the National Bank is considering this issue. Answers to inquiries of commercial banks and journalists will appear soon.
The day before, it became known that the State Financial Intelligence Service requested from commercial banks information about all, without exception, holders of bank accounts and safe deposit boxes. The Union of Banks did not support this request and believes that it violates the banking laws in the country.
