Two rallies held near White House in Bishkek
Two rallies are held near the White House in Bishkek. Owners of the land plots in Voenno-Antonovka ask for their transformation, and the residents of Profsoyuznaya Street in Bishkek demand to stop the demolition of houses.
«We bought land plots and have all the necessary documents. But we cannot build anything, we are not given permission, we ask for transformation of the land. We respect the law, and waited for the adoption of the law on transformation, therefore we were left with nothing. Permission for transformation was given next to our land. We cannot even install fences,» the land owners told.
Residents of Profsoyuznaya Street demand to stop the demolition of houses. «When people built houses, they didn’t bother anyone, when they are finished, the land is suddenly needed. People left country to earn money, had been building the houses for more than 10 years. And now, in the winter, they are being demolished,» they said.
They assume that a parking lot or some business will be constructed there. «Only three houses are being demolished. It turns out that business interests are more important than that of the people?» they ask.
