Ex-speaker Akhmatbek Keldibekov sues journalist demanding 1 mln soms
Former Speaker of Parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov sued the Kyrgyz-language Kyrgyztoday media outlet and a journalist. Civil activist Adil Turdukulov informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the amount of the claim is 1 million soms. Akhmatbek Keldibekov did not like a publication on the website, which said that he was a corrupt official. The plaintiff argues that this is slander, as the court dismissed the charges under this article.
Earlier, Akhmatbek Keldibekov won a payout of 2 million soms from Asia News journalists.
Adil Turdukulov noted: he hoped that the plaintiff would withdraw the material claims to Kyrgyztoday, being satisfied with a refutation.
