Number of unemployed increases by 9.1 percent over year in Kyrgyzstan
Registered unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan made up 2.7 percent of the economically active population. The National Statistical Committee presented such data.
At least 90,300 people have been registered by the employment service for the search of work in January-September 2018. This is 1.6 percent more than in the same period of 2017.
The number of registered unemployed in the country is 68,500 people, which is 9.1 percent more than in 2017.
Most of all unemployed live in Jalal-Abad (22,311 people) and Osh (14,880 people) regions, least of all — in Osh city (2,250 people).
Unemployment benefit in Kyrgyzstan is only 250 soms. Only those who previously made contributions to the Social Fund can get it.
