Kyrgyzstan studying possibility of creation of Ministry of Energy
Kyrgyzstan is studying the possibility of creation a Ministry of Energy. The State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use informed 24.kg news agency.
The Committee of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on the Fuel, Energy Complex and Subsoil Use instructed on June 12 to analyze the feasibility of reforming the management system of the republic’s energy industry.
The state committee is working on the issue of creating a separate specialized agency, authorized to develop policies in the fuel and energy complex. «It should be noted that the work is still underway and various options are being worked out, however, it is premature to make any specific decisions,» the committee explained.
Note, deputies have repeatedly raised the issue of the inefficiency of the National Energy Holding. They propose to create the Ministry of Energy.
