Death of 2-year-old child. Boy was beaten repeatedly
The head of the Protection of Children’s Rights League, Nazgul Turdubekova, told 24.kg news agency that experts were checking the circumstances of the death of a two-year-old baby at the National Center of Maternity and Childhood Welfare.
A criminal case was opened on the fact under the article — causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death. Necessary expertise was appointed.
The police explained why they did not detain the woman who brought the child to the clinic. She is a single mother and has three minor children.
Nazgul Turdubekova assures that the child may have been beaten by more than one person. Old wounds and multiple hematomas were found on the baby’s body.
«The woman was charged with murder by negligence. The investigation continues. The suspect claims that she did not beat the boy,» Nazgul Turdubekova said.
This is not the first case of child abuse in Kyrgyzstan. In January 2015, two-year-old brutally beaten up Ibragim was hospitalized. The kid is disabled now.
