Bishkek pays tribute to Chingiz Aitmatov
Chingiz Aitmatov was commemorated in Bishkek. Flowers were laid at the monument to the writer, the press service of the City Administration reported.
The mayor of Bishkek, Aziz Surakmatov, the Chairman of the City Council Zhanybek Abirov, employees of the City Administration and structural subdivisions took part in the event.
Bishkek schoolchildren showed staging and read monologues from his works.
People laid flowers at Chingiz Aitmatov’s mausoleum in Ata-Beyit memorial complex.
