Tez Jet Company may close by end of year
There are suggestions that Tez Jet company will probably be closed by the end of the year. The Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov announced this today at a meeting of the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan needs a national airline if the country wants to develop aviation. At the same time, the national company Air Kyrgyzstan today practically does not operate flights.
«Aircrafts in the country are outdated, and we have no other planes to replace them, so flights are delayed due to this. If Tez Jet is closed, then we will not be able to operate not only domestic flights, but also external ones,» Zhamshitbek Kalilov stressed.
