Bishkek residents with hearing impairment performed a famous song «Zhit.» The video was posted on Facebook.
Thus, residents of the capital urge the authorities of Kyrgyzstan to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Kyrgyzstan joined it on September 21, 2011. In December 2017, the deputies of the Parliament adopted a resolution and instructed the government to begin the process of ratifying the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In the post-Soviet space, only Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have not ratified it.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is marked annually on December 3.
