Police detain man suspected of domestic violence in Sokuluk
Law enforcement officers detained a 25-year-old man on suspicion of domestic violence, the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Chui region informed 24.kg news agency.
The police reported that the Department of Internal Affairs of Sokuluk district received a report about the hospitalization of 22-year-old woman on October 28. All necessary examinations were ordered.
«The investigators found out that on October 28, from about 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., in one of the houses on Zarechnaya Street in Sokuluk village, her 25-year-old common-law husband beat the woman and committed domestic violence. A case was opened under the article «Domestic Violence» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the police noted.
The police detained the suspect. He was placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation continues.
