Number of deaths exceeds number of births in 2024 in Russia
The number of deaths in Russia exceeded the number of births this year. The website of the Eurasian Economic Commission says.
From January to September 2024, at least 1,049.8 million people were born in the Russian Federation, and 1,725.5 million died.
The natural population growth among the EAEU countries, according to the EEC, is positive only in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. In the Kyrgyz Republic, it increased by 1.3 percent compared to the same period last year, and in the Republic of Kazakhstan — by 6.3 percent. Natural growth in Armenia decreased by 40 percent, unlike in 2023. The report does not provide information on Belarus.
At least 118,200 people were born in Kyrgyzstan for nine months of 2024, and 29,000 died.
