Money laundering: Hospital doctors placed under house arrest
The previously detained head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Department of the National Hospital and his subordinate on suspicion of money laundering have been placed under house arrest. The decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported on October 4 that the investigators had found out that the head of the department and his close relatives have property worth about $2 million. This amount does not match the actual salary figures of the doctor. He received about 400,000 soms per year.
It is known that both doctors admitted their guilt, after which the investigation petitioned to change their preventive measure. The doctors will be under house arrest until December 7, 2024.
