Oberon and Oberon-Fort markets in Bishkek to continue work as usual
Oberon and Oberon-Fort markets will continue to operate as usual. The press service of the City Hall reported.
By the decision of the Administrative Court, land plots on Kozhevennaya Street (Dordoi market) and on Suerkulov Street (Orto-Sai market) with a total area of 8.1 hectares, which are used for clothing markets, were returned to municipal ownership.
«According to the relevant decision of the Bishkek City Hall, Oberon and Oberon-Fort markets were transferred to the disposal of the Municipal Property Management Department,» the municipality reported.
The markets will operate as usual after the renewal of the contract with Municipal Parking, Parking Lots and Markets municipal enterprise.
«At the moment, an inventory of the trading facilities has been conducted at the markets, as well as an explanatory conversation with the sellers about conclusion of contracts. This document will allow the vendors to continue their activities, that is, Oberon and Oberon-Fort markets will operate in the normal mode,» the City Hall reported.
The municipality added that the employees of the market administration were informed about the transfer of these markets to the disposal of the Municipal Property Management Department of the City Hall, an inventory of the property located in the administration of these markets was made, the locks of the doors of the market administration building were replaced, and time was given to the employees of the market administration to take their personal and valuable belongings.
Recall, the State Committee for National Security reported the initiation of a criminal case on the fact of illegal acquisition of land plots by Oberon LLC, located in Dordoi (6.42 hectares) and Orto-Sai (1.68 hectares) markets. It is noted that the owners of the markets received the plots for temporary use (lease) in 1998. Later, in collusion with officials, they illegally obtained state acts on the right of private ownership of the above-mentioned markets.
The returned land plots with a total area of 8.1 hectares were valued at 3,889,563 billion soms.
The owner of Oberon LLC, Nurzhamal Baibolova, stated that in the event of a final decision regarding her company by the Supreme Court, she will appeal to international bodies for protection.
