Kyrgyzstan tops ranking in terms of export waiting time among CA countries
Larisa Kislyakova, Chairperson of the Partnership for Transport and Logistics of Central Asia, presented the results of a study conducted by GIZ on the monitoring of time spent, documentation during export and transit of perishable and non-perishable goods across the borders of Central Asian countries. The data was announced at the forum held in Bishkek.
For comparison, the average waiting time in Tajikistan at Fotekhobod checkpoint is only 30 minutes for perishable products and 4 hours for non-perishable products. In Uzbekistan, at Sariosiye checkpoint, exporters can pass border control in 30 minutes (perishable cargo) and 1 hour (non-perishable cargo).
