69 convicted Kyrgyzstanis extradited to homeland in 2024
At least 69 citizens have been extradited to Kyrgyzstan to be brought to criminal responsibility or to execute sentences since the beginning of 2024. The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
This was possible thanks to the work on interaction with foreign partners within the framework of the Chisinau Convention, as well as existing bilateral agreements.
During the specified period, 38 people were extradited from Kyrgyzstan at the request of foreign partners, including, having satisfied the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia to extradite citizen of Moldova, 50, for criminal prosecution for robbery with the use of weapons and causing serious harm, as well as for murder associated with robbery, he was extradited.
The supervisory authority decided to extradite Turkish citizen at the request of law enforcement agencies. He is accused of assisting an international criminal organization in the illegal transportation and sale of narcotic substances on an especially large scale.
In total, more than 100 materials on the extradition of criminals have been considered.
