National Bank and IMF discuss digital som and development of monetary policy
The Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Melis Turgunbaev met with the Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Tobias Adrian. The meeting took place in Washington (USA) as part of the Annual Meetings of the Governors of the IMF and the World Bank Group. The press service of the bank reported.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation on the further development of the basis of the monetary policy of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and the possibility of technical implementation of the introduction of the digital som were discussed.
