State Insurance Organization insures 200,000 residential premises
State Insurance Organization OJSC has insured 200,000 residential premises in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the Insurance Compensation Department, Azat Osmonaliev, reported on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the country’s housing stock to date is 1,212,901 residential buildings out of the registered ones.
Azat Osmonaliev noted that 200,000 residential premises have been insured to date. If previously the authorized capital of the company was 350 million soms, now it has been increased to 1 billion. He recalled that the State Insurance Organization OJSC provides various types of insurance.
The head of the department specified that about 50 million soms have been paid out on insurance cases.
The law on compulsory housing insurance came into force in 2016. In 2024, by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, insurance for houses and apartments became a mandatory document when conducting transactions for their purchase and sale.
