A rapper from Kyrgyzstan was convicted of inciting ethnic hatred. According to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow, Islam Zakirov was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for one year and eight months in a general regime penal colony.
Investigators established that Islam Zakirov performed in a bar and voiced «a statement containing calls for violent actions and a negative assessment of Russians.»
