Leader of FETO organization Fethullah Gulen dies
The preacher and leader of the FETO organization declared terrorist in Turkey, Fethullah Gulen, has died in the United States. His nephew Ebuseleme Gulen confirmed the information on social media.
According to Turkish media, Fethullah Gulen, who lives in Pennsylvania, died in the hospital where he was taken.
According to journalists, the Turkish public and religious figure suffered from kidney failure and diabetes.
The Turkish authorities accuse Fethullah Gulen of preparing a coup d’etat in July 2016. As a result of the two-day standoff, more than 250 people were killed and 2,200 were injured. Ankara has repeatedly demanded from the United States to extradite Gulen and has also stated that it would persecute FETO supporters until the last of them is brought to justice.
