Russia fully meets Kyrgyzstan’s needs for oil products — gasoline, jet fuel, diesel fuel, and bitumen. TASS reported, citing the press service of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.
«One of the main areas of interaction is the energy sector. Russia fully meets the republic’s needs for oil products: gasoline, jet fuel, diesel fuel, and bitumen,» the statement says.
Work is also underway to ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the country, and the General Scheme for Gas Supply and Gasification of Kyrgyzstan until 2030 program is being implemented with the participation of Gazprom.
The Russian government noted that the two countries have great potential for increasing mutual trade and developing cooperation in other areas: finance, industry, agriculture, transport, and digital technologies.
Currently, more than 80 Russian regions maintain trade and economic ties with the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the government, trade with Russia accounts for 20 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade. In 2023, Russian-Kyrgyz trade turnover increased by 5.6 percent and reached $3.6 billion.
