UK to provide expert and advisory support to members of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan
Members of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan from Yiman Nuru faction had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan Nicholas Bowler.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of developing inter-parliamentary, political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries. The leader of the faction, Dinara Ashimova, emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is interested in cooperation in such areas as climate change, promotion of a green economy and attracting foreign investment. She noted the need for expert support for implementation of projects in these areas.
Member of Parliament, Sultanbai Aizhigitov, asked about the role of strategic planning in the field of public administration in the UK. Member of Parliament, Vinera Raimbachaeva, drew attention to issues of expanding cooperation in the prevention of natural disasters, eliminating the consequences of climate change and developing inclusive healthcare.
Nicholas Bowler noted that he would take into account the issues raised during the meeting, and also told about the current state of bilateral relations and the projects being implemented. The Ambassador informed that a program for working with the parliament had recently been approved, within the framework of which expert and advisory support was envisaged.
