Damage of citizens from fraud reached more than 903 million soms in 2024
The damage caused to citizens by fraudsters amounted to 903,826,493 soms. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nurbek Abdiev said at a meeting of Parliament.
According to him, 447,396,155 soms of the amount were returned to citizens.
Nurbek Abdiev told that a total of 7,713 criminal cases have been initiated in 2024. At least 36 percent of them were opened on fraud charges. The overwhelming majority of these crimes are committed in Bishkek and Chui region.
