Cabinet and World Bank discuss platform for tracking construction of HPP
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic Hugh Riddell.
They discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, in particular the project for the construction of Kambarata HPP 1, which is strategically important for the country.
The head of the Cabinet emphasized the importance of accelerating work on the implementation of the project, noting that Kambarata HPP 1 will become a significant contribution to the development of not only the national but also the regional energy system and will contribute to sustainable growth.
Hugh Riddell informed about the progress achieved and positive trends in the process of updating the feasibility study for the project and confirmed the readiness of the World Bank to continue its active participation in its implementation.
They also discussed creation of a special platform for data exchange, which will allow tracking the progress of the project in real time.
