Budget surplus to be used to increase capital of state companies in Kyrgyzstan
The budget surplus will be used to increase the capital of joint-stock companies with state participation. Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva asks to allocate these funds for development of the social sector.
At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy, deputies considered a draft law on the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 and the planning period 2026-2027 with the participation of the Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev.
Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva recalled that the Minister of Finance had previously complained about the state of state hospitals.
«Your minister said last time that he was in the hospital, there are no medicines. Many healthcare institutions are in a deplorable state. The Osh Interregional Oncology Center is in terrible condition. Then there is a shortage of textbooks, there are 50 children per class in schools. Teachers can barely stand it for 45 minutes. Why can’t we increase funding for the social block?» she asked.
First Deputy Minister of Finance Ruslan Suinaliev noted that the budget surplus would be used to increase the capital of the State Insurance Organization, the State Mortgage Company, MKK Entrepreneurship Development Fund OJSC, as well as Aiyl Bank and RSK Bank so that they will give a positive result in the future and influence the country’s economy. In addition, the funds will be used to pay off external debt.
