Growth of prices, tariffs reaches 3.4 percent since beginning of 2024
For the first nine months of 2024, the growth of consumer prices and tariffs as a whole reached 3.4 percent in Kyrgyzstan. The First Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee Nazira Kerimalieva reported.
According to her, prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 9.2 percent, non-food products — by 2.9 percent, food and soft drinks — by 1.4 percent, tariffs and services for the population — by 7 percent.
The National Statistical Committee clarified that an increase in consumer prices and tariffs in January-September was registered in all regions of the republic, with the exception of Jalal-Abad region, where a decrease of 0.1 percent was recorded. The maximum price increase (4.5 percent) was observed in Issyk-Kul region.
