Kyrgyzstanis begin to spend more on vacations abroad
Kyrgyzstanis began to spend more money on vacations abroad. The National Statistical Committee provided the data.
Expenditures of residents of the country abroad in the first half of 2024 amounted to $280.1 million. This figure increased by 6.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
From January to June, 26,800 people went on vacation through travel agencies, 21,500 of them were citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, 5,300 are foreign citizens traveling in Kyrgyzstan.
The National Statistical Committee also noted that income from receiving foreign citizens in the first half of the year, according to estimates, amounted to $ 479.7 million. This is 1.8 percent more than for the same period in 2023.
