President Japarov holds talks with Speaker of Italian Senate
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held talks with the Speaker of the Senate of the Italian Republic Ignazio La Russa.
The parties exchanged views on the current issues of mutual interest, including the development of interparliamentary relations in the field of lawmaking. Regional issues and certain aspects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also discussed.
Ignazio La Russa noted that the visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan is an important event in bilateral relations between the countries.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the Kyrgyz side is determined to develop mutual trade and promote joint investment projects with Italy. Kyrgyzstan has all the opportunities and a favorable investment climate for foreign entrepreneurs to enter the country’s market and make investments.
He particularly emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is open to attracting foreign investment, including from Italy, implementing promising projects in the country’s mining industry, in the sphere of industrial cooperation, processing of agricultural products, energy, construction, and tourism.
According to him, bilateral cooperation has significant potential for expansion, and expressed confidence that today’s visit to Italy contributes to its full disclosure.
