Turkish investor starts oil production in Kadamdzhai
A Turkish investor has started oil production in Kadamdzhai district near Severny Sokh underground gas storage facility. Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev announced at a meeting of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy of the Parliament.
According to him, the investment amounted to $90 million. The pumping units that Uzbeks used to extract oil have been restored there, and 500 tons of «black gold» is produced per day. An oil refining and gasoline production plant will be opened in late October — early November.
Negotiations are underway with the investor on natural gas production in the same region, Taalaibek Ibraev said.
