Ex-Deputy Chief of Staff of President placed in detention facility for 2 months
The Pervomaisky District Court has chosen a preventive measure for the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the President Almambet Saliyev.
The court granted the petition of the investigator of the Main Investigative Directorate of the State Committee for National Security to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention and placed him in a pretrial detention facility until November 4, 2024. Almambet Saliyev is charged with abuse of official position.
It is known that Almambet Saliyev was detained by the State Committee for National Security officers on September 24. He held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the President during the presidency of Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
