More than 1.4 million tourists from Kyrgyzstan visited Uzbekistan in 2024
More than 1.4 million tourists from Kyrgyzstan have visited Uzbekistan in 2024. The Statistics Agency of the republic provided the data for the period from January to August.
According to the agency, 1,450.3 million people from the Kyrgyz Republic entered Uzbekistan for tourism purposes during the specified period.
In total, more than 5 million tourists visited the country. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 16.7 percent.
The number of foreign citizens who entered Uzbekistan for commercial purposes in January — August of this year amounted to 97,400 people, including 589 from Kyrgyzstan.
