Citizen of Uzbekistan tries to illegally take $30,000 out of Kyrgyzstan
An attempt to illegally transport money was prevented at Dostuk-Avtodorozhny checkpoint on Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan border. The press center of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to its data, the citizen of Uzbekistan, 24, transported $30,000 or 2,527,155 soms.
The man, traveling from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, did not declare the money, as required by the customs legislation. He also could not explain where he got the foreign currency.
After the necessary documents were drawn up, the currency and the foreigner were handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation.
The State Committee for National Security reminds that the export of foreign currency from Kyrgyzstan in the amount of more than $5,000 for foreigners and more than $10,000 for citizens of the country is temporarily prohibited.
