New power station to be built in Bishkek for $300 million
The City Hall of Bishkek signed an investment agreement with Orta Asya Investment Holding OJSC on the fuel and energy complex. The press service of the municipality reported.
The goal of the project is to build and operate a combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of over 250 megawatts on the territory of Bishkek Heating and Power Plant 2.
The amount of the investment agreement is $300 million.
«The project will not only become the basis for the modernization of the energy infrastructure, but will also contribute to the creation of new jobs,» the City Hall reported.
