Part of shares of Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC returned to state
Part of the shares of Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC, acquired by the company’s previous management at a reduced price, have been returned to state ownership. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to it, the former chairman of the company’s board organized the buyout of shares from shareholders in 2019 under the pretext of a government program on sale of assets of the Russian company Gazprom.
«Subsequently, he took advantage of his official position and bought out 383,590 shares at a reduced price, registering them in the names of affiliated people. The shares worth a total of 65,615,400 soms were voluntarily transferred to the state,» the statement says.
