After the March terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall near Moscow, which citizens of Tajikistan were accused of, the Russian authorities began to tighten migration policy.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic recommended citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia.

In the wake of the tightening of migration policy, presidential spokesman Askat Alagozov published a post on Facebook, urging compatriots working in the garment and construction industries of the Russian Federation to return home.
