Karkyra-Avtodorozhny checkpoint to operate around the clock
Karkyra-Avtodorozhny checkpoint will now operate around the clock. Deputies approved the corresponding bill at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
First Deputy Chairman of Border Service of the State Committee for National Security Ularbek Sharsheyev noted that previously the checkpoint did not operate in winter and functioned only during the day.
Ularbek Sharsheyev also added that to date, with the support of the Asian Development Bank, reconstruction is underway at three checkpoints: Kichi-Kapka, Ak-Tilek and Karkyra-Avtodorozhny.
