Interior Ministry takes rape of 9-year-old girl in Barskoon under control
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has taken the rape of a nine-year-old girl in Barskoon under control.
A criminal case has been reportedly opened under Article 154 «Rape» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Two suspects, 19 and 25, have been detained and taken in custody. By a court decision, they were placed in a pretrial detention center for two months.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
«Such facts will not go unnoticed, and the guilty will be severely punished in accordance with the law,» the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Earlier, the police reported that a resident of Barskoon village contacted the Department of Internal Affairs of Jety-Oguz district on September 9, who stated that her 9-year-old daughter had been beaten and raped by two men. According to her, this happened on the same day, September 9, at about 11:30 a.m. in Kok-Sai area.
