Dogdurbek Chontoev appointed rector of Kyrgyz National University
Dogdurbek Chontoev has been appointed rector of the Kyrgyz National University (KNU) named after Zhusup Balasagyn. The corresponding order was signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Dogdurbek Chontoev previously worked as Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. He is a Doctor of Geographical Sciences.
The former rector of the KNU Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov left his post based on the submitted letter of resignation.
