Kyrgyzstan outperforms countries in region in English proficiency
Kyrgyzstan has outpaced other countries in the region in terms of English proficiency. The report of the international educational center EF Education First, which prepared the English proficiency rating for 2023, having analyzed 113 countries, says.
Kyrgyzstan has the best English proficiency among Central Asian countries (90th place).
Then come Uzbekistan (93) and Kazakhstan (104). Turkmenistan is not included in the rating.
Russia is in 41st place.
Tajikistan is in the penultimate place in the overall ranking.
The report is based on the results of testing of 2 million adults in 113 countries.
In 2021, Kyrgyzstan took the 101st place between Thailand and Oman.
