National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reports on unauthorized transactions with VISA cards
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported on unauthorized transactions with VISA cards.
According to the bank, 568 unauthorized transactions with cards of VISA international payment system and one unauthorized transaction using a card of the national payment system Elcard were registered in the second quarter of 2024.
The estimated amount of such transactions was 13.645 million soms, or 0.005 percent of the total volume of transactions with payment cards.
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic also notes that during the specified period, commercial banks reported recorded unauthorized transactions using cards of foreign banks in the peripheral network in the amount of 1.722 million soms.
