Okuu Kitebi Publishing House is short of personnel
Okuu Kitebi Publishing House state institution has only 11 people on staff, there is a shortage of proofreaders, designers, layout designers, and artists. Director of the state institution, Ilyas Sarybaev, told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, one of the options for resolving the situation is to attract such specialists on a short-term basis.
«Adaptation of textbooks allows us not to involve such a large number of people. Even Singapore is adapting foreign textbooks, including Cambridge ones,» Ilyas Sarybaev said.
Recall, Okuu Kitebi Publishing House state institution was created in February 2024 to improve the quality and content of national textbooks and increase the availability of them in schools. It was created by merger of Zhany Kitep institution, which was engaged in textbook rental, and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center Okuu Kitebi, which conducted expert examination of manuscripts.
