Production of KAMAZ trucks planned in Kyrgyzstan
The Chief Specialist of the Industry Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Eldos Sagymbaev, reported that Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush is considering a project on production of KIA and Hyundai trucks, TASS reports.
It is reported that Kyrgyzstan plans to organize the production of KAMAZ trucks on its territory, as well as small trucks such as Porter of the Korean companies KIA and Hyundai.
According to the expert, talks about the production of KAMAZ trucks on the territory of the republic are being conducted with Russia within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Joint production of heavy trucks based on the Chinese brand Shacman is also planned. The corresponding agreement was signed in May 2023.
