Official opening of Bedel checkpoint planned for September
Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev met with members of the Chinese delegation headed by the First Deputy Chief of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of China Dan Xiaohong.
The parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation, in particular, the opening of the new Bedel checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border, as well as the construction of Barskoon-Uchturfan-Aksu road.
Official opening of Bedel checkpoint is planned for September this year. Temporary conditions for passage through the checkpoint in a simplified manner will be created there.
Construction of the bridge at the checkpoint has been completed. Full-fledged infrastructure will be organized in compliance with international standards in the coming years.
Issues of further improvement of the activities of Irkeshtam and Torugart checkpoints between the two states were also discussed.
