Russian Interior Ministry registers decrease in crimes among migrants
A decrease in the number of crimes committed by citizens of other countries has been registered in Russia. Official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported on her Telegram channel.
The measures taken by the Russian Interior Ministry have allowed to set a downward trend in the number of crimes committed by foreigners, she specified.
According to statistics, a decrease of almost 5 percent was recorded over the first seven months of 2024.
The number of migrants who committed illegal acts decreased by 3.1 percent.
The number of serious and especially serious crimes committed by foreign citizens decreased by 9.2 percent, including murders and attempted murders — by 14 percent, against sexual inviolability and sexual freedom of the individual — by 2.5 percent, related to drug trafficking — by 21.7 percent.
