Second stage of Sambo World Cup: Kyrgyzstanis win bronze and silver medals
The second stage of the Sambo World Cup has started in Cholpon-Ata city. The competitions are held in four disciplines — men’s sport sambo; men’s combat sambo; women’s sport sambo; women’s combat sambo.
Representative of FIAS-1 team Artem Osipenko won a gold medal and his teammate Alexey Merzlikin took second place. Bekbolot Toktogonov took third place and a bronze medal. He shared the place with another FIAS-1 sambo wrestler Arseny Malitsky.
More than 250 athletes from 14 countries are taking part in the World Cup.
The Russian team, we recall, participates in all tournaments, except for national ones, under the name FIAS-1 with the flag and anthem of the International Sambo Federation.
