Head of Yakutia congratulates Sardana Trofimova on her performance at Olympics
Head of Yakutia Aysen Nikolayev has congratulated Sardana Trofimova, 36, a native of Yakutsk, who has been running for the national team of Kyrgyzstan since 2022, on her performance at the Olympic Games. She finished 14th in the marathon distance.
Recall, Sardana Trofimova — five-time champion of Russia, three-time winner of the Moscow Marathon.
«I am still a Yakut. There are five people from Yakutia at this Olympics, and we are all very, very supported. We don’t forget our compatriots,» the athlete said after the finish.
Sardana Trofimova ran the marathon at the Olympics in Paris. She took 14th place with the result of 2:26:47, setting a new national record of Kyrgyzstan.
