Olympics 2024: Wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov fails to reach semifinals
Wrestler from Kyrgyzstan Akzhol Makhmudov did not reach the semifinals of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament at the Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympic Games website says.
In the weight category up to 77 kilograms, he lost to Demeu Zhadrayev from Kazakhstan (3:1) in the 1/4 finals.
Earlier, Akzhol Makhmudov defeated Kamal Ameer Bey from the USA with a score 4:1.
The 1/2 final fights will begin at 10.15 p.m.
Uzur Dzhuzupbekov also began the fight for the medals on August 6. In the evening, Zholaman Sharshenbekov will fight for the bronze medal, and Meerim Zhumanazarova — for the gold.
