Red-listed animals in Khan-Teniri park. Rare photos
Bears and leopards were captured by camera traps in Khan-Teniri State Nature Park. Photos and video were sent to 24.kg news agency by the park employees.
Several animals were captured on a mountain trail: wild boar, gray marmot, hare, fox, stone marten and goats, as well as snow leopard, brown bear and lynx, which are included in the Red List of Threatened Species.
The Khan-Teniri State Nature Park was created as part of a UNDP project. It is located in Issyk-Kul region and is the largest nature park in Kyrgyzstan. Many trekking and mountaineering routes run through its territory — treks along the Tien Shan, ascents to Khan-Tengri and Pobeda peaks, the South Enilchek glaciers, and Merzbacher lake.
