Gold price hits its all-time high
On August 1, the price of gold on Comex exchange, a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, hit its all-time high, exceeding the mark of $2,500 per troy ounce. Data of the exchange says.
Thus, according to the latest data of the trading platform, $2,502 per troy ounce have been already given for the precious metal.
Financial experts note that geopolitical risks remain the main factor in the consistently high prices of gold.
Since the beginning of the year, the precious metal has risen in price by almost 16 percent.
