Kyrgyzaeronavigatsiya works on project to open flight to Kashgar
Kyrgyzaeronavigatsiya state enterprise together with China has developed a project to open a new air route. The head of the state enterprise Torokeldi Omurov announced at a press conference.
According to him, the project concerns the opening of air traffic with the city of Kashgar.
The head of the state enterprise also told about a grant agreement between JICA and the Kyrgyz Republic on the project to improve traffic management at international airports. As part of this, a new air traffic control tower will be built at Osh airport to replace the old one, which has been under the control of the Manas airport since the Soviet era. He recalled that new equipment for more accurate weather and climate forecasts was also purchased for the Osh airport.
